The best people have the shittiest times with no respite. They extend their hearts out, only to have it stomped on in front of them and there’s nothing you can do for them. Nothing. There’s only so many beatings one person can take. I’m worried that that was the final chance for something to change. And that really fucking sucks. I’m not even the one getting hurt this time.
